Jammu Additional Deputy Commissioner Shishir Gupta on Monday visited Shashi Bhushan Abrol's family, who was one of the seven people killed in the Gagangir terror attack.

Gupta told ANI that the district administration will decide what can be best done for the family.

"The loss of this family cannot be compensated for, but it has been decided that the matter will be taken up by DC Jammu with DC Ganderbal. The process and formalities will be fast-tracked. We will finish the legal formalities and bring back his body to his family. The district will be deciding what can be best done for the family," Shishir Gupta told ANI.

Meanwhile, the brother of Shashi Bhushan Abrol said that the terrorists behind the attack should be killed.

"He never talked to us regarding any fear. He did not respond to our calls after 6 pm. Today in the morning we received information regarding his death," Abrol's brother told ANI.

"He has two children. These terrorists should be killed. He was the only breadwinner of the family," he added.

Abrol's father told ANI that Shashi Abrol had spoken on the telephone with his wife at 6 pm on Sunday.

"Yesterday, his (Shashi Bhushan Abrol) wife had a telephone conversation with him at 6 pm, but later he did not respond to calls. He was a designer. We received information regarding his demise in the morning. He has been working with the company for the past 5-6 years," Abrol's father said.

Abrol, Dr Shahnawaz and five labourers were killed when terrorists attacked a tunnel construction site on the Srinagar-Leh national highway in the Ganderbal district on Sunday. The unidentified attackers struck as the labourers and other staff returned to their camp in Gund, Ganderbal, late in the evening.

Family and friends of the doctor killed in the Ganderbal terror attack gathered at his residence in Budgam on Monday.

Meanwhile, NC President Farooq Abdullah condemned the attack, squarely blaming Pakistan for it.

"This attack was very unfortunate. Immigrant poor labourers and a doctor lost their lives. What will the terrorists get from this? Do they think they will be able to create a Pakistan here? We are trying to put this to an end so we can move on from the misery," Farooq Abdullah told reporters.

"I want to tell the leadership in Pakistan that if they want good relations with India, they need to put an end to this. 'Kashmir Pakistan nahi Banega.' Let us live with dignity and succeed. If they couldn't create Pakistan for 75 years, how would it be possible now? It is time to end terrorism; otherwise, the results will be very severe. How will talks be held if they kill our innocent people?" he added. (ANI)
