BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari claimed that there is a "massive anti-incumbency" against the Jharkhand government led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Speaking to ANI on Sunday, Bhandari exuded confidence in BJP forming government in the state which is scheduled to vote in two phases on November 13 and 20.

"BJP under the leadership of PM Modi will be forming the government in Jharkhand because there is massive anti-incumbency against Hemant Soren's government which has only appeased and has not taken care of tribal rights," he said.

"If you observe the list of the BJP, we have given more than 35 per cent of the tickets to individuals belonging to tribal communities. We will ensure that 'Jal Jungle Zameen' is protected in Jharkhand," he added.

On the Maharashtra assembly election, which is slated to vote on November 20, Bhandari alleged infighting in the opposition alliance, Maha Vikas Aghadi.

"Maha Vinash Aghadi in Maharashtra by looking at the statement of its leaders, you can conclude that they know that the people of Maharashtra are not with them. 'Maha Vinash Aghadi' is fighting amongst each other," Bhandari said.

"We are very confident that there will be a Mahayuti government in Maharashtra. It will be a pro-incumbency vote under the leadership of PM Modi," he added.

Votes will be counted in both states on November 23. (ANI)
