As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a majority in the Haryana Assembly elections by winning 48 seats, the party President JP Nadda on Tuesday expressed joy and credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi with changing the tradition of politics in the country.

Addressing party workers at BJP headquarters here after the results of assembly polls in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir (J-K), JP Nadda attributed BJP's victory in Haryana and the increase in vote share in J-K to the trust the people have in PM Modi's leadership.

"The victory we achieved in Haryana and the increase in our vote share in Jammu and Kashmir are all results of the trust shown by the people in the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. While Congress was engaged in spreading lies, the people did not listen to them and formed our (BJP's) government in Haryana for the third consecutive time. Prime Minister Modi has changed the tradition of politics in the country," Nadda said.

Further launching a scathing attack on Congress, Nadda accused the party of promoting "corruption, commission, and criminalization."

"Congress has been promoting casteism and 'bhai-bhatijawad' and is leaving no stone unturned to divide people on the basis of caste. Where there is Congress, there is corruption, commission, and criminalization. These are the 3Cs of Congress," he said.

Nadda also criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which failed to secure any seats in the Haryana elections.

Referring to AAP, the BJP chief said, "We also have a as 'Kattar Beimaan' party here; they contested all 90 seats (in Haryana) and lost their deposits in all 90 seats. In Jammu and Kashmir, we have won more seats than last time, and our vote share has also increased."

As per the latest update from the Election Commission regarding the ongoing Haryana Legislative Assembly elections, the BJP has emerged as the leading party, securing 48 seats.

The Indian National Congress (INC) follows closely, having won 37 seats, bringing their total to 37 seats. The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has won 2 seats, and Independent candidates have secured three seats. (ANI)
