Haryana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member Syed Zafar Islam on Tuesday said that the people supported the BJP and further added that the win of BJP would be a hatrick in Haryana.
Speaking to ANI, Islam said "The inputs have indicated that we are going that it will be a hatrick for us. We are very confident and this is because the people have supported us so much. Congress keeps talking about winning but we will see in a few hours on who will win." Meanwhile, Congress candidate Aditya Surjewala from Kaithal, Haryana on Tuesday said that BJP will not win more than 15 seats and Congress is way ahead in state, as per exit poll prediction and initial counting. "We will win around 60 seats and BJP will come down to 15 seats, no other party will win any other seats. We have kept 7 promises and it has touched the hearts of people. Because of BJP, inflation has risen so much that it has become so difficult to run a household..." he said. "...Exit polls say that we will win 60 seats (of the total 90 seats), but I say that we will win 70 seats, we will Kaithal seat too," he added. He said there is strong sentiment among the people for change after a decade under the BJP government, which he describes as corrupt and divisive. "...Everyone had one feeling in their hearts - Change. They are tired of the last 10 years of BJP, of this corrupt government, of this hateful government. They wanted change. I know that Congress will bring that change, that justice. Exit polls say that we will win 60 seats (of the total 90 seats), but I say that we will win 70 seats, we will Kaithal seat too." he said. The Congress candidate from Kaithal also criticizef the BJP government, claiming it operates like a "40% commission government, and spreading 'Gunda raj' through extortion calls. (ANI)
