Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement "If we get divided" remark, Congress leader Pawan Khera on Sunday said that the PM divides people based on clothes, language and food habits and that his entire politics has been based on dividing people and creating controversy.

"The man who divides people based on clothes, language and food habits, his entire politics is based on dividing people and creating controversy, it is surprising to hear such words from him. Please tell the PM to correct his politics first and then he can change the country. Because of your politics, the country is in such a situation now," said Khera.

Slamming the centre over Pakistan, the Congress leader said that the government should make its strategy clear on pakistan. Adding to that, he said, "What is your relation with Pakistan? Imran Khan is calling EAM Jaishankar to his rally. What does that show? They cannot hide their relation with Pakistan and at the same time can also not reveal it."

Earlier on Saturday, while addressing a public rally in Maharashtra's Thane, PM Modi said that Congress is the most dishonest and corrupt party in the country. He further said that they looters of land, abuse women, and support urban naxals. The PM warned the people, saying that if we get divided, then those who are dividing us will celebrate.

"They are on a mission to divide the society and come into power. We have to take lessons from the history. We have to stay united. If we get divided, then, those who are dividing us will celebrate (Agar hum batenge toh, baatna wale mehfil sajaenge). Wherever they go, destruction follows. They forced the country into poverty. Other parties who come into their alliance also start to talk about appeasement. Congress disrespects Savarkar. Congress is announcing that they will again bring article 370," said the PM. (ANI)
