Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi interacted with the Indian Police Service (IPS) probationers on Friday.
He discussed the transformation of policing over the years and the importance of tackling new challenges like cybercrime. "Interacted with IPS Probationers of 76 RR earlier today. Wished them the very best in their endeavour of serving people. Discussed how policing has changed over the years and how it has become important to tackle new challenges like cyber crime. @svpnpahyd," the Prime Minister said in a post on X. In another post by the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), which trains the officers of the Indian Police Service, also highlighted that PM Modi encouraged the trainees to deliver quality policing, contribute to nation-building, and create awareness of cybercrime. "The Prime Minister encouraged the trainees to deliver quality policing services so as to win hearts of the people; to contribute in nation-building by maintenance of peace and order; Create awareness of cybercrime among students and people to tackle this challenge effectively," read the Academy post. "Inspiring the future leaders of India's police force, Prime Minister's words of wisdom and guidance left a lasting impact on the trainees," the post by the SVNPNPA added. (ANI)
