PM Modi interacts with students during Swachhata Abhiyaan, emphasises importance of cleanliness

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday participated in a Swachhata Abhiyaan (cleanliness drive) with school students of Navyug School, Pandara Park, in the national capital to mark the 10th anniversary of Swachhata Bharat campaign. During the cleanliness drive, Prime Minister Modi interacted with the students.

Speaking about her interaction with PM Modi, Aditi, a 6th std student of Navyug School, Pandara Park, said that PM Modi emphasised the need for cleanliness for good health.

"We did not expect that we would meet PM Narendra Modi. After meeting him, it did not feel like he has a big stature, it felt like we were interacting with an elder from our family. He emphasised the need for cleanliness for good health," Aditi told ANI.

Anisha, a 9th std student said they knew someone big was coming to their school today, but they did not expect it to be PM Narendra Modi.

"We knew someone big was coming to our school today, but we did not expect it to be PM Narendra Modi. He took part in cleanliness with us. He emphasised the need for cleanliness for good health... He talked to us about the paintings we made... He asked us to make cleanliness a habit... We felt like we were interacting with our family member," Anisha told ANI.

Nandini, a 7th std student said that It was a great experience interacting with Prime Minister Modi.

"It was a great experience. No one expected PM Narendra Modi to come to our school. We did not hesitate while talking to him. He was very friendly... Despite being the Prime Minister, he had no arrogance. He even cleaned our ground with us... He talked to us about a variety of things including yoga and told us about schemes like Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme," Nandini told ANI.

Bharat, a student of Navyug School, Pandara Park, told ANI, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to our school and he took part in the cleanliness drive with all of us. He talked to us and explained the importance of cleanliness. He talked to us about our drawings also... Cleanliness is not a one-day event, it is a habit which we need to inculcate in our everyday life."

Nidhi Mago, Vice Principal of Navyug School, Pandara Park, said PM Modi's interacted with students like an elder of their family, not like the Prime Minister.

"He was interacting with the students like an elder of their family. It never felt like the Prime Minister was talking. He asked questions, talked to them, and even talked about the Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme," Nidhi Mago said. (ANI)
