Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his 155th birth anniversary. He also paid homage to the second Prime Minister of the country, Lal Bahadur Shastri on his 120th birth anniversary.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav paid floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Bhopal. Sharing the photos of the event on X, he wrote, "Today, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the 'Father of the Nation' Mahatma Gandhi, in Bhopal, I garlanded his statue and paid homage to him and bowed to him." "For the welfare of humanity and establishment of peace all around, the paths of truth, non-violence and service shown by revered Bapu will always remain exemplary," Mohan yadav's post further reads. He also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri by garlanding his statue in Bhopal. "I pay my heartfelt tributes to former Prime Minister of the country, Bharat Ratna awardee Lal Bahadur Shastri ji on his birth anniversary. Today I paid tribute to him by garlanding his statue in Bhopal. By giving the slogan 'Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan', he infused immense self-confidence in the entire country. He will always be remembered for his simplicity, strong will and honesty," he said in another post on X. While speaking to media persons, CM Mohan Yadav said that former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri left a mark of simplicity even after reaching such a great height. "It is also the birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri, we remember his contribution to the nation. How can one reach to great heights despite coming from difficulties, We can learn this from him. Despite reaching such a great height, he left a mark of simplicity. I bow before both of them," CM Yadav added. Speaking to media persons on this occasion, CM Yadav praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that he is going ahead with progress in 'every sector and every area'. "Mahatma Gandhi contributed to the nation for its independence, and India will never forget it. PM Modi is going ahead with progress in every sector, every area. Especially, amid the current instability in South Asian countries, PM Modi is spreading the message of peace.
