Stepping up his attacks on Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, on Tuesday, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Haryana government have made the state a "centre of unemployment."
"Narendra Modi Ji and the state government have made Haryana a centre of unemployment. If anyone wants employment in Haryana, they can hardly get it," he said addressing a rally in Gohana in Sonipat. Targeting the BJP over demonetisation and GST, the Rae Bareli MP said that BJP has trapped shopkeepers in a 'chakravyuh', just like how Abhimanyu was trapped in Mahabhara. He further alleged that all the money of banks are being given to 2-3 billionaires. "Narendra Modi has trapped shopkeepers in a 'chakravyuh', just like in Mahabharat, when Abhimanyu was trapped here in Kurukshetra. How were they trapped? Through demonetisation, then GST, then 2-3 billionaires were given all the money of banks. If you ask them to get loans from banks, they will tell you that banks won't grant them loans. In India, today only Adani and Ambani can get loans," Rahul Gandhi said. "Not only this, they (shopkeepers) receive call from foreign nations for ransom and get demanded for Rs 5-10 lakhs. This is not just happening with any one person, rather this has been done to lakhs of people in Haryana," he added. Trageting PM Modi and the Haryana government over Parivaar Pehchan Patra, Rahul Gandhi said that BJP created a "baseless" family card called 'Parivaar Pareshan Patra' just to give a contract. "Earlier everyone had an Aadhar card, then the BJP created a baseless family card called "Parivaar Pehchan Patra" to harass every family in Haryana. They had to give contract to a businessman worth Rs 100-200 crores that's why "Parivaar Pareshan Patra" was made to trouble the families of Haryana.... This scene was created just to give a contract. I promise you - as soon as Congress forms government in Haryana, we will put an end to this 'Parivaar Pareshan Patra'," the Congress leader added. Parivaar Pehchan Patra (PPP) is a unique family identity card issued by the Government of Haryana. It's an initiative aimed at providing a single, integrated document to track family-specific data and ensure efficient delivery of various government schemes and services. Referring to 'Agniveer Yojana', Rahul Gandhi attacked BJP and said that this scheme aims to divert the defence budget of India and snatch away the money for pension, canteen, compensation that is given to the soldiers. "There is everything for Adani, Ambani and billionaires. They talk about Agniveer Yojana, what is the meaning of Agniveer Yojana? This scheme has only one aim - snatch away the money for pension, canteen, compensation that used to go the soldiers. They have given this name after thinking a lot. This name is for playing with the feeling of nationalism. This scheme should not be named as Agniveer Yojana, the real name of this scheme should be Adani Yojana. It aims to divert the defence budget of India which used to go into the training, pension, canteen for soldiers and put that money in Adani's pocket," he said. Rahul Gandhi said, "Did you see Ambani wedding? It went on for 15 days you all saw. Did you see Modi ji at the wedding? You saw it right. Did you see Rahul Gandhi there? It should be clear now who is standing on which side." Haryana will go to the polls on October 5 to elect its 90-member state legislative assembly, with counting set to take place on October 8. In the 2019 elections, the BJP emerged as the single largest party, securing 40 seats, while Congress won 30 seats. (ANI)
