Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav ahead of his visit to Jharkhand on Monday, doubled down on the "misgovernance" of the Congress Party and its allies which blamed for the fact that Jharkhand was no a number one state in the country.

CM Yadav also said that during his visit to Jharkhand, he would participate in Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Parivartan Yatra going on in the state.

Yadav told ANI, "Today, I will participate in BJP's Parivartan Yatra in Jharkhand. Six Parivartan Yatras were started in the state which would conclude today. I am satisfied that the BJP successfully kept before the public how the CM of the state due to his misgovernance had to go to jail. What else can be more unfortunate?"

The CM further remembered former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee and said that he had said that Jharkhand would become a state.

"Atal Bihari Vajpayee had said that Jharkhand would become a state. The state has so many resources and it could have become the number one state in the country but due to Congress, its approach and its allies, the state is in its current plight. I hope the people of Jharkhand will resolve to go with the BJP. The central government under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and the Jharkhand government together will create a new dimension of development," Yadav said.

"Elections are going to be announced and I hope everyone will adopt 'Sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas, sabka prayaas'. BJP will come to power in Jharkhand," he said.

Jharkhand is expected to hold elections for its 81-member legislative assembly by December 2024, as the current government's tenure is set to end in January 2025. However, the Election Commission has yet to announce the election schedule. (ANI)
