Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday attended two blood donation camps, one at the Vivekananda Biyamagar on Gangail Road, and the other in the Ramnagar area organised on the occasion of the inauguration of the seven Ramnagar Mandal office.

During his speech, Chief Minister Saha emphasised the importance of community involvement in ensuring a steady supply of blood. "To prevent any shortages, it is crucial for both men and women to come forward and donate," he stated. He reassured attendees that donating blood is safe and beneficial, noting that the body replenishes the donated blood within three months.

Saha further called upon all citizens, regardless of their religious backgrounds, to participate in the noble cause. He discussed various aspects of blood donation, underscoring its significance in saving lives and fostering a sense of unity within the community.

The Chief Minister's message resonated with many, as officials and volunteers rallied to encourage widespread participation in future blood donation festivals.

Earlier in the month, a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 74th birthday, a mega blood donation camp was organised by the Maharani Tulsibati Welfare Trust at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Yuba Abas in Agartala.

Chief Minister Manik Saha addressed the gathering, highlighting the Prime Minister's various initiatives and discussing the importance of blood donation.

The event commemorated the Prime Minister's birthday, which was on September 17, and emphasised the critical role of voluntary blood donation in saving lives. The camp received an overwhelming response from the community, showcasing solidarity and support for this noble cause.

CM Saha also participated in a blood donation camp organised in celebration of PM Modi's birthday by the Bharatiya Janata Party Mandal Committee of Banamalipur at the Nazrul Kalakshetra Auditorium in the city.

He also appreciated PM Modi's initiatives for improving healthcare, education, and infrastructure, urging attendees to support these programmes to drive progress in the region. (ANI)
