Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Priyanka Kakkar on Sunday criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of attempting to crush the AAP model and keep Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia away from each other. However, she said that now no one will be able to stop Delhi's progress.

"BJP tried its best to crush the AAP model and keep Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia away from each other. But now no one will be able to stop Delhi's progress. Children of Delhi lost 17 months of development because Manish Sisodia was imprisoned. The people of Delhi lost 6 months of development because Arvind Kejriwal was imprisoned," Kakkar told ANI.

Kakkar also said, "If Arvind Kejriwal is dishonest, then no one in the country is honest... Arvind Kejriwal will now seek a certificate of honesty from the people of Delhi."

Earlier today, former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia intensified his criticism of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing them of attempting to create a rift between him and Arvind Kejriwal, though they failed.

"I used to tell them that you are trying to separate Lakshman from Rama. I warned the BJP not to separate Lakshman from Rama. No Ravana can ever break that bond. They tried hard to break me and the party. I told them it's a 26-year-long friendship, and I cannot betray my friend, my political mentor, and my brother, Arvind Kejriwal," Sisodia said.

Speaking at the 'Janta ki Adalat' event held at Jantar Mantar, Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that he resigned not out of desire for the Chief Minister's position but because he entered politics for the sake of the country. Kejriwal stated that he is not a typical politician and that the allegations against him had deeply affected him.

"I resigned because I did not come into politics for corruption. I have no desire for the CM's chair. I didn't come here to make money. I worked in the Income Tax department, and I could have earned crores if that were my aim. I came into politics for the country, for Bharat Mata, to change the political system," Kejriwal said.
