A Delhi-based music producer alleged that he received an extortion call of Rs 5 crore from a caller who identified himself as a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldi Brar Gang, said the police on Sunday.

The victim, identified as Amandeep Batra (39) a resident of Greater Kailash, said that he received a call in which the caller identified himself as a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldi Brar group and demanded the amount.

The victim said that he received a voice call on his mobile number from a number that starts with +351, after which the caller introduced himself as a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldi Brar Gang.

The victim in his FIR alleged that the caller threatened him to provide Rs 5 crore rupees and also gave death threats, stating that if he failed to do so, he would send goons to his residence to get him killed.

Amandeep further stated that he made a PCR call on 112 and informed about the incident.

The victim has also alleged in the FIR that he has strong doubt that these threat calls are being given on the instructions of his ex-wife's boyfriend, who was close to Lawrence Bishnoi.

He alleged that his ex-wife's boyfriend always tortures him by putting the photographs of his son and ex-wife.

Based on the complaint, the Delhi Police has registered a case under Section 308(4) BNS at Greater Kailash Police station and is investigating the matter. (ANI)
