Hyderabad: Auto-rickshaw rams into vehicle, overturns, leaving 1 dead, 4 Injured

One person died, and four others were injured in a road accident near Malkam Cheruvu Lake under Raidurgam police station limits in Hyderabad on Sunday, police reported.

According to the police, an auto-rickshaw was travelling from Tolichowki to Raidurgam with four passengers when the driver, driving in a rash and negligent manner, lost control of the vehicle.

As the auto approached Malkam Cheruvu Lake, it collided with a vehicle descending from the Shaikpet flyover. Following the collision, the auto driver lost control and crashed into another vehicle parked on the roadside, causing the auto to overturn.

All the passengers and the driver sustained severe injuries. One person died, and the remaining four are undergoing treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Ratna Bai (38), a housekeeping staff member.

In a separate incident, a hit-and-run occurred in the Dahisar area on Friday, where a speeding car struck a motorcycle, killing one person and injuring two others. The deceased has been identified as Aditya Velankar (17), while the injured have been identified as Piyush Shukla and Karan Rajput (18). (ANI)
