According to an official release, the newly constituted Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC Assam PCC) of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee received 56 complaints from different sources, including individual applicants and from contesting candidates in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

The DAC, headed by Chairman Nripendra Thakuria, Vice-President APCC, Co-Chairman Bobbeeta Sharma, Vice-President APCC and Member-Secretary Advocate Shirazul Hussain Saikia, held several rounds of discussions, interactions and hearings with grassroots party workers and leaders about the omission and commission of anti-party activities during the last Lok Sabha elections, 2024.
