After the Supreme Court delivered its judgement on Arvind Kejriwal's bail plea, former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and AAP leader Manish Sisodia on Friday lashed out at the BJP and the Modi government and alleged them for arresting Delhi CM under "premeditated conspiracy".
Sisodia further said that this order judgement by the Supreme Court gives assurance that only the Constitution will run a country. "This judgement is not only important for us but for all citizens. The SC's order has given an assurance that if someone is a dictator or misusing the agencies, then the Constitution of India is there to protect and only the Constitution will run the country. The judgement also clears that the BJP was using ED and CBI as a caged parrot to hatch conspiracies against Arvind Kejriwal. The Supreme Court itself said that the way CBI arrested the CM, it was clear that CBI arrested him knowingly. It was the BJP's aim to keep him inside the jail. When Arvind Kejriwal was coming out of jail from the ED, he was arrested by the CBI. It was "Sochi-Samjhi-Saazish," said Sisodia. Calling ED and CBI a "caged parrot," Manish Sisodia said that it's a clear message from the Supreme Court for the BJP to stop their "dictatorial regime." Addressing a joint press conference, Manish Sisodia said, "The bail granted by the Supreme Court to Arvind Kejriwal is important in several ways. First of all, this is a matter of relief and joy for AAP, the Delhi government and our families that our political guru Arvind Kejriwal will come out of jail despite several conspiracies of the BJP. The SC has given a message to the BJP that they have to stop their dictatorship. The SC has said that the BJP is misusing the agencies and has made them their caged parrot. The SC said in very clear words that the CBI is working as a caged parrot." Hitting out at the BJP, Sisodia said the BJP led government had been exposed badly in the Supreme Court and should feel ashamed and apologise to the country. Sisodia said, "The Supreme Court has put its stamps on what we were saying. CBI arrested Kejriwal at that time when he had to come out in the ED case. BJP should feel ashamed; they have been exposed badly in the Supreme Court. They should apologize to the country, constitution, and Babasaheb for this act. Lastly, we are all happy. People's love, the blessings of Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman, and the shield of the constitution have protected Kejriwal Ji, and nobody can hamper him as long as these three things are with him. This has been cleared now." AAP leader Sanjay Singh also launched a scathing attack and said the CBI, on the directions of the BJP, arrested Arvind Kejriwal when he was about to get released in the ED case. He further said that the BJP has been exposed and their mountain of lies has been demolished. Sanjay Singh said, "We have been saying this since day 1 that this whole matter is based on false facts, and the Modi government, the dictatorial regime that used ED and CBI to present false facts, is responsible for spreading these false facts. Today, the release of Manish Sisodia and Arvind Kejriwal has exposed the BJP, and their mountain of lies has been demolished. Arvind Kejriwal Ji who was about to receive bail in the ED case, was immediately arrested by CBI after 22 months. ED and CBI haven't arrested Kejriwal on their own, he was arrested on the directions of PM Modi. Dictatorship has to end." "Dictators have to bend, they just need one who can bend them, and Arvind Kejriwal is one who, through his struggle and honesty, served Delhi and the country. You just can't tarnish his confidence by putting him in jail. This is a moment of joy for each worker of AAP, India, and especially Delhi. Now, we will defeat the BJP on the battlefields of Delhi and Haryana. Today, the Supreme Court said that ED-CBI is a caged parrot of the government. You can't diminish the constitution, democracy, elected government of Delhi, and popularity of Arvind Kejriwal. We want to thank everybody, including people and INDIA Alliance members, who supported us in this fight," Singh said. The Supreme Court on Friday granted bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a corruption case registered by CBI in the alleged excise policy scam. Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21, 2024, in connection with a money laundering probe relating to alleged irregularities in the now-cancelled Delhi excise policy 2021-22. On June 26, 2024, AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by CBI while he was in custody of the Enforcement Directorate in the excise case. (ANI)
