CBI registers case against Jaipur clerk, private hospital representative for abusing official position

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against a Lower Division Clerk (LDC) posted in the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), Jaipur, a representative of an Ajmer-based private hospital and unknown others for allegedly abusing their official position, the CBI said.

As per the CBI, the accused were trying to obtain illegal gratification from private hospitals that were aspiring to be empanelled with CGHS, the said.

CBI registered a case based on a complaint received from the Additional Director, CGHS, Jaipur.

"CBI has registered at a case against an LDC, CGHS, Jaipur and a representative of Ajmer based private hospital and unknown others on the basis of a complaint received from Additional Director, CGHS, Jaipur. It was alleged that accused LDC while working in the Office of Additional Director, CGHS, Jaipur, in conspiracy with other accused persons, abused his official position to obtain illegal gratification from private hospitals which were aspiring to be empaneled with CGHS," the agency said in a press release.

Searches were conducted today at three locations/premises of the accused at Jaipur and Ajmer, which led to the recovery of incriminating documents.

Further investigation is underway. (ANI)
