Reacting to the speculations of the AAP-Congress alliance in Haryana, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala hit out at them on Saturday and said the INDIA alliance lacks mission and vision.

He further said that they are the same parties that are against each other in Punjab and Delhi but their possible efforts regarding alliance shows their desperation in Haryana.

BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla said, "INDI alliance has no mission and vision. They have their own ambitions and operate through their confusion and they have obsession with Modi. They want to protect their corruption. That's why they form an alliance in some places, however, it breaks later on. In Punjab, AAP and Congress are against each other. In Delhi, they were together earlier. And now there are uncertainties (between AAP and Congress) in Haryana."

"Now in Haryana, sometimes its yes and sometimes its no. Don't know how long this film will take place and in all these sequences, Congress party admits one of their (AAP) members, Rajendra Pal Gautam, in their party. It was the same person whom Congress used to criticise. So, there is no vision and mission in this alliance, they are just afflicted by their ambitions. It shows their desperation in Haryana. Political parties standing against each other in Haryana are also having to come together. It means they have no surety of people's support in Haryana if they contest the elections alone," said Poonawala.

On September 6, Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chaddha announced that the Congress and AAP were dicussuing to form an alliance for the Haryana Assembly Elections in the national interest, and every possible effort is being made for it.

"Talks are going on. We are hopeful that an alliance will form in favour of Haryana and the country. Every possible effort is being made," the AAP MP said.

Earlier, AICC in-charge of Haryana, Deepak Babaria, confirmed talks with AAP for the Haryana polls.

He said that apart from the AAP, INDIA bloc partners, including the Communist Party of India (CPIM) and the Samajwadi Party, have also approached them to fight the assembly elections together in the state.

The voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5, with the last date for filing nominations being September 12. The counting of votes will take place on October 8. (ANI)
