The Uttar Pradesh government approved 13 proposals in a cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.

The Uttar Pradesh government granted the maintenance policy 2024 under the Jal Jeevan Mission for the operation of piped drinking water supply schemes in rural areas. This policy is being introduced for the maintenance of villages where work has been completed.

Additionally, the government approved the proposal for leasing tourist guest houses under the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Department, which are currently being managed privately, for a total of 30 years (15+15 years). The proposal is for guest houses that are operating at a loss or have been closed.

In the Department of Secondary Education, the cabinet granted the proposal to increase scholarships for Sanskrit students.

"Today, policy is being made for social media, Instagram... Now they will be regulated and they will also be given advertisements. A lot of policies have been made," Uttar Pradesh Minister Sanjay Nishad said after the cabinet meeting.

After the cabinet meeting, speaking to the presspersons, Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya claimed that the BJP will do well in the upcoming assembly bypolls in the ten seats that were lying vacant in the state.

"BJP is preparing strongly from the booth level to the Vidhansabha level in all the 10 Vidhan Sabhas and we are confident that we will not only bring back our seats but will also snatch the seats that the Samajwadi Party has.

On by-elections to be held on 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, SBSP chief and state minister OP Rajbhar asserted that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is preparing for all ten seats.

"NDA is preparing for all 10 seats. Efforts are being made to win all the seats. Our victory is certain on the Milkipur and Katehari seats," he said. (ANI)
