Following the alliance with Jannayak Janta Party for the Haryana Assembly Elections, Azad Samaj Party-Kanshiram President and MP Chandrashekhar Azad asserted that the alliance of ASP-JJP alliance will contest the elections and prove to be a strong option in the state for the upcoming elections.

Earlier, JJP and Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) allied for the upcoming Haryana Assembly polls that will be held on October 1.

"Bhim Army workers have been working in Haryana for the last 7-8 years... We have nominated the most hardworking people in our party who have a good grasp on the ground and are widely popular... Azad Samaj Party- JJP alliance will contest the elections and prove to be a strong option in the state for the upcoming elections," Azad told ANI.

He further said that there are 20 seats where the Azad Samaj Party-Kanshiram has a good grasp and can fight really well.

"Before this, we have contested elections in Bihar, UP, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan... People have started blessing us for all our struggle over the years, with their votes," he added.

The alliance will contest on all 90 Assembly constituencies in Haryana with JJP competing on 70 seats while ASP on 20. Haryana will go to polls on October 1 in a single phase.

"Out of 90 seats, JJP to contest on 70 seats and Azad Samaj party on 20 seats," said JJP leader Dushyant Chautala.

Reacting over the alliance of the Jannayak Janta Party and Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram), Congress MP Deepender Hooda said that INLD and JJP are on the direction of BJP.

"INLD and JJP work on the directions of BJP," Hooda said.

The Haryana Assembly, consisting of 90 members, is scheduled for elections on October 1, with the results expected to be announced on October 4.

After the last assembly polls in Haryana, the BJP formed the government with the support of the 10 JJP MLAS.

In the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, JJP got only 0.87 per cent of the vote share, with none of its candidates winning any seat in the state.

In the 2019 elections, the BJP, with 40 seats in the 90-member assembly, formed a coalition government with the JJP, which had won 10 seats, while the Congress secured 31 seats. Earlier this year, the BJP-JJP alliance was dissolved.

In 2024, Haryana is likely to witness a four-way contest between the BJP, Congress, Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), and AAP. (ANI)
