RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday criticised the Bihar Government, stating that despite having a "double-engine government" (NDA-led government at the center and state), Bihar tops the charts in unemployment, poverty, inflation, corruption, and crime.

"Despite the double-engine government for the past 17 years, Bihar is number one in employment, inflation, corruption, crime," said Tejashwi Yadav.

He accused the BJP of being power-hungry and neglecting public concerns. "Bihar is number one in unemployment, poverty, inflation and in corruption...Bihar is number one in crime also...Despite having a government at the Centre and State, nothing has been corrected...BJP people are greedy for power only, they have nothing to do with the public," said the leader of the opposition in the Bihar assembly.

Yadav also called Nitish Kumar a 'tired Chief Minister' unable to effectively govern the state.

"Nitish Kumar is not able to run the government in Bihar...BJP is only concerned about being in power, they don't care about the public...," said the RJD leader.

His statements comes after Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha accused Yadav of silence on attacks against Hindus in Bangladesh, attributing it to "appeasement politics".

Earlier, on Saturday Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha criticised Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, for not speaking out against attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh.

Sinha attributed Yadav's silence to "appeasement politics" and questioned his ability to be a responsible social leader.

Hitting out the RJD leader, the Deputy CM said, "Tejashwi Yadav did not react to the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh due to the appeasement politics. He was not able to see the shops being looted, and houses and buildings being burnt...Such people can never be social beings...". (ANI)
