A head constable who was in charge of Bhankrota police station's storehouse in Jaipur allegedly died by suicide inside the Mukundpura Police Station on Wednesday.

The victim has been identified as Babulal Bairwa, who lived with his son, daughter and wife in Laxmi Vihar Vaishali Marg West in Jaipur.

The constable's family and various organizations staged a dharna in front of SMS Hospital demanding the arrest of those who allegedly pushed him to this step. They also demanded a CBI investigation and compassionate appointment for the family member.

Giriraj a protestor said, "Babulal Bairwaa was an honest police officer, but for the last two years he was harassed. His senior officers were forcing him to arrest people. Babulal chose to die instead of going against the law".

"We demand the FIR registered within 24 hours and the accused should be arrested after the completion of the postmortem" he said.

According to the police, a suicide note was found near the head constable. It has the names of three police officers and a journalist written on it. All four have been held responsible for the suicide in the note.

The suicide note also speaks about three FIRs. It is written that if these three FIRs are investigated by the CBI, then many secrets will be revealed, the police said. The constable also wrote that a case should be filed against them for forcing him to commit suicide.

Reportedly, Head Constable Babulal Bairwa, shared the suicide note on the WhatsApp groups of the family, Bhankrota police station and officers at around 11 am following which the search for Babulal was started.

His dead body was found hanging from a noose at Mukundpura Police Station. The body has been kept in the mortuary of SMS Hospital.

Additional DCP West Neeraj said, "Presently the family members and the people of the society are being counselled, and as soon as the family gives a complaint, a case will be registered and appropriate action will be taken". (ANI)
