Earlier today, Governor Lt General of Uttarakhand, Gurmeet Singh hoisted the national flag at the Raj Bhavan and paid tribute to freedom fighters and congratulated people on the occasion.

On this occasion, the Governor said that the new India of the 21st century is full of possibilities and potential, which is moving rapidly on the path of sustainable development. The Governor said that there are infinite possibilities in technology, AI, space, cyber, quantum, robotics, and science.

He also said that efforts will have to be made to further strengthen our reach in these areas, so that we can succeed in becoming the leading state of the country.

Further, he appealed to everyone to take a pledge to give the best contribution to the development of the country and the state.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also hoisted the flag and celebrated the 78th Independence Day.

The Chief Minister also announced a bunch of schemes to boost the development of the state.

The schemes include developing one local body in each district as a model body, increasing the pension scheme account from Rs. 4000 to Rs. 6000, connecting youth with skill development schemes, and developing a welfare scheme for senior citizens. (ANI)
