Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the tricolour at his official residence in Dehradun on Wednesday, as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign leading up to Independence Day.

The Chief Minister also paid tribute to the victims of Partition on 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.'

"On Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, I pay tribute to the millions of families who endured the pain of Partition and faced countless hardships. On this day in 1947, our country was divided based on religion. This venom of discrimination and hatred led to the displacement of millions of brothers and sisters and the loss of thousands of lives," CM Dhami shared in a post on X.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also hoisted the Tricolour at his residence in the national capital as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hoisted the Tiranga at his residence in Lucknow and took a selfie with it, participating in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' initiative.

Earlier on Tuesday, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, along with Union Ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, Kiren Rijiju, and Mansukh Mandaviya, flagged off a bike rally under the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign from Bharat Mandapam in the national capital.

Vice President Dhankhar remarked that the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign symbolises our independence, pride, and commitment to a Viksit Bharat.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also urged citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign in celebration of Independence Day.

In the 112th edition of 'Mann Ki Baat' on July 28, Prime Minister Modi called on all Indians to actively participate in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign to celebrate Independence Day.

'Har Ghar Tiranga' is an initiative under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, launched in 2021 to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it in celebration of the 75th anniversary of India's independence. The campaign aims to instill a sense of patriotism in the hearts of people and raise awareness about the Indian National Flag. (ANI)
