Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant participated in a Tiranga Yatra organised by the BJP Youth Front in his constituency of Sanquelim on Sunday.
Speaking to ANI, the Chief Minister said, "In Goa, the BJP is organising Har Ghar Tiranga and Tiranga Yatra in every constituency. Today, in my constituency, the Youth Front organised a Tiranga Yatra. I participated in this Tiranga Yatra." He further said that, on the principle of nation first, all should work for the vision of a developed India by 2047. "Nation First, on this principle, we should all work for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India by 2047 and today, with a lot of enthusiasm, a lot of youth have participated in the rally," he said. He also congratulated the youths who participated in the event and said, "Every constituency of Goa will also host a Tiranga rally and every house will have a Tiranga." Earlier on Thursday, August 8, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat announced the third edition of the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign that will be celebrated from August 9-15 as part of the Independence Day celebrations, according to a statement from the Ministry of Culture. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, the Minister said that the initiative aims to instil a spirit of patriotism and national pride among citizens by encouraging every Indian to hoist the national flag. The Minister urged the citizens to hoist the Tiranga at their homes and click a selfie with the flag. On Friday, August 9, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the citizens to make the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign a mass movement by hoisting the national flag at their homes. Changing his profile picture on social media to 'Tricolour', PM Modi further urged everyone to change their profile picture to the same. Sharing a link, PM Modi also requested everyone to share their selfies with the national flag while celebrating the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign. One can submit their selfies on the website, https://harghartiranga.com. In a social media post on X, PM Modi wrote, "As this year's Independence Day approaches, let's again make #HarGharTiranga a memorable mass movement.
