JNU Vice-Chancellor Prof Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit spoke on the launch of book on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'leadership legacy' and praised the book as a significant and distinctive contribution to understanding the prominent figure in democracy, that is PM Modi.

Speaking at the launch event of the book 'Power Within: the Leadership Legacy of Narendra Modi' by Dr R Balasubramaniam, JNU VC said, "This is a very welcome book because it is very different, about the tallest spokesman of democracy, and that is PM Modi."

"In an age where there is so much interference, both externally and internally, his image still stands in books like this, where an analysis through an indic civilizational framework is trying to analyze him and understand him correctly," she said.

Adding further, she said, "PM Modi is like the idea of leadership that has been given in our civilization in different texts. He only looks for the country going ahead. This is a very important paradigm shift in analyzing a great leader like PM Modi."

The book, "Power Within ": The Leadership Legacy of Narendra Modi captures Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership journey and interprets it through Western and Indic lenses, amalgamating them to provide a roadmap for those who aspire to a life of public service.

Dr R Balasubramaniam has authored nine books in the past , some of which like "Voices From The Grassroots' and "Leadership Lessons For Daily Living" are globally acclaimed.

The book, "Power Within": The Leadership Legacy of Narendra Modi, is inspired by the 'exercise of leadership'. It introspects this practice as it captures the civilisational wisdom of Bharat through the lived experience of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

There are also opinions and anecdotes recorded by prominent persons from different walks of life including Intelligentsia, academia, corporate world and thinkers of international repute. (ANI)
