Delhi: Man injured in brawl between two groups in Som Bazar area

A man was injured in a fight between two groups in Jeevan Park, Som Bazar area of Delhi, said the police.

The injured person was identified as Sandeep (30), a resident of Binda Pur Village.

According to the Delhi police, "At around 10:20 PM, a PCR call was received regarding a stabbing incident at T-point in Jeevan Park, Som Bazar area at the Dabri Police Station.

Shortly after receiving the information, police rushed to the scene, where it was reported that the injured had been shifted to the Deen Dayal University (DDU) Hospital.

"During the investigation, injured Sandeep stated that he and his brother were passing through a street in Binda Pur Extension when they collided with 3-4 boys coming from opposite directions. A quarrel ensued and he sustained a small stab injury to his left leg," said the police.

Following the stab injury, the assailants fled from the scene, according to the police.

Police said that an FIR under sections 118(1), 115(2), and 3(5) BNS has been registered and efforts are on to nab the culprits.

An investigation into the matter is underway. (ANI)
