Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut backed the INDIA alliance chief ministers' decision to not attend the NITI Aayog meeting. He alleges that the government and NITI Ayog treat impartially to the non-NDA states.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said, "CMs of the India bloc will not go to NITI Aayog meeting. It is almost decided. Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin had earlier said he would not go, Arvind Kejriwal is in jail, Telangana CM; and there are other CMs who do not want to go because NITI Aayog is not keeping pace with the country's development, You must have seen this in this year's budget and NITI Aayog's work."

He further accused NITI Aayog of not maintaining fairness in the development of the country.

"This has been witnessed in the budget as well," he added.

Earlier on Saturday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party government over the Union Budget and said that the budget seems like a "vengeful act" against the states and the people who boycotted the BJP.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin released a video in which he said the Union Government continued to engage in actions that were contrary to "progressive thoughts."

Notably, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin first announced the boycott in Chennai. Following this, the Congress said its chief ministers, including Himachal Pradesh's Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Karnataka's Siddaramaiah and Telengana's Revanth Reddy, would skip the meeting.

This year's theme of NITI Ayog's meeting is 'Vikisit Bharat@2047' with a central focus on making India a developed nation. The Governing Council Meeting will discuss the Approach Paper for the Vision Document on Visksit Bharat @2047.

The meeting aims to foster participation, governance and collaboration between the central and state governments, enhancing the quality of life for both rural and urban populations by strengthening the delivery mechanisms of government initiatives. (ANI)
