"Union Budget 2024 is important step for overall development of Chhattisgarh": CM Vishnu Deo Sai

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister on Tuesday appreciated the Union Budget 2024 presented in the parliament and said that the budget was an important step for the overall development of the state.

CM reacted to the Union Budget 2024 in a series of posts shared on the official X handle of the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).

"Union budget 2024 is an important step for the overall development of Chhattisgarh. Poor families of Chhattisgarh will get food security. Farmers of Chhattisgarh will get financial security and necessary resources. This budget is an important step towards empowerment of women," CM Dai said in the series of posts.

Reacting to the budget on the education and health sector, the Chief Minister said that "Chhattisgarh's education and health sector will improve."

Further talking about provisions for infrastructure and urban development in the budget 2024, CM Sai said that the schemes would accelerate the development of the state.

Highlighting the provisions of a special scheme for tribal communities mentioning about Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Unnat Gram Abhiyan, the Chief Minister said, "This scheme is important for the development of tribal communities."

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, on Tuesday presented the first Union Budget of the Modi 3.0 government and her seventh consecutive one during the Monsoon Session of Parliament.

The Finance Minister, in her seventh consecutive Union Budget for 2024-25, outlined nine key priorities aimed at fostering economic growth and creating ample opportunities.

She listed productivity and resilience in agriculture, employment and skilling, inclusive human resource development and social justice, manufacturing and services, urban development, energy security, infrastructure, innovation, research and development and next-generation reforms as nine priority areas for the government.

The budget session of Parliament began on July 22 and, according to schedule, will end on August 12. (ANI)
