The Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 21 Sect AR organized "A Day with Assam Rifles" for NCC cadets and school students of Kumarghat district at Radhanagar, Tripura on July 13, 2024.
The event was an initiative to encourage students to join forces. During the unique event, the opportunity was provided to future army aspirants an insight into the life of a soldier and familiarize them with the Military Way of Life. A total of 158 students participated in the event and visited Garrison. To promote sports in the North East region, the Assam Rifles recently also organized the first-ever Assam Rifles Annual Women's Football Tournament for teams across all the states of North East. Seven women's football teams from Meghalaya, Assam, Nagaland, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Assam Rifles voluntarily participated in the tournament. (ANI)
