Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday stepped up his attacks on the Congress and said that instead of asking the Haryana government to give an account of the work done in the past 10 years, the Congress should tell what it did in its 10-year rule in the state.

On being asked about Congress raising a slogan of 'Haryana maange hisab', and the party seeking a response from the state government over the work done by them, Khattar said, "We will demand accountability for their (Congress) 10 years, what they did in those 10 years and what wrong they did to the country."

He added, "The state was drowned in despair and depression at that time and then the public rejected them."

The remarks by the Haryana Chief Minister came after he visited Delhi and participated in the Haryana CM's Good Governance Associates Programme.

Speaking with the reporters, Khattar said that if Congress wants to take accountability, they should go and take accountability of the Congress-ruled states. He said, "They have destroyed Punjab and whatever is left, is being destroyed by AAP."

The Chief Minister added, "If we have to give any account, we are giving it to the people and the people will give its result when they will form the BJP government for the third time in October 2024."

Meanwhile, taking to his official X handle, Khattar also posted about the Good Governance Support Programme and said, "Addressed the convocation ceremony of Chief Minister Good Governance Support Programme at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in Delhi."

He added, "I am extremely happy that this programme, which was started with the objective of system transformation and good governance in Haryana, has completed 8 successful years. In this journey, our youth have worked as partners of the government to deliver government services and schemes on the ground with transparency. I wish all the good governance partners the best."
