Chamoli (Uttarakhand) | July 8, 2024 8:11:24 PM IST
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday addressed a public meeting organized in Pokhri, Chamoli in support of BJP candidate Rajendra Bhandari in the Badrinath assembly by-election and said that India is moving forward rapidly under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister said that both Mahendra Bhatt and Rajendra Bhandari are harbouring the vision to take this area forward together.

He sought public support in favour of Rajendra Bhandari and urged to vote for him on July 10.

"The BJP candidate is a candidate for the service of the public. Bhandari has resigned for the development of the Badrinath Assembly. With Bhandari ji's victory, the development work of this area will get a boost," he said.

The Chief Minister said that the development of Uttarakhand is going on under the leadership of PM Modi.

"India is moving forward rapidly under the leadership of the Prime Minister. All-round development of Uttarakhand is going on under the leadership of Modi ji. Historic decisions have been taken in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi ji. Article 370 has been abolished from Kashmir. CAA law was implemented. Triple Talaq has been abolished from the country. The dream of building a Ram temple in Ayodhya has been fulfilled under the leadership of Modi ji. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the state government first implemented equal civil rights. Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement UCC. Uttarakhand has progressed in many areas," CM Dhami said.

He further said that the anti-cheating law of the country has been implemented in the state, due to which examinations are now being conducted with complete transparency in government jobs.

"Encroachment is being removed from government lands. Homestays are being opened everywhere. Mahalaxmi Kit Yojana, Lakhpati Didi Yojana, Uttarakhand Ayushman Yojana, Old Age Pension Scheme have been started in the state. 3 gas cylinders of Antyodaya card holders are being refilled in 1 year," the CM said.

The Chief Minister said that work is in progress on the master plan of Rs 424 crore for the grand Badrinath Dham.

"The ropeway from Auli to Gaursons has been approved. An amount of Rs 3.50 crore has been approved for building a mini stadium in Pokhari. A tourist accommodation house has been constructed in Pokhari. Work is going on to build a multi-storey parking in Joshimath. He said that BJP is working to take the country and the state forward but on the other hand Congress is doing politics of lies and division. Congress is a party without leadership. The people of Uttarakhand have shown in the Lok Sabha elections that politics of lies will not work in the state," he added.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, many development works have been done in this country for every section including SC ST OBC. Today the services of the government are reaching the person standing at the last end.

He had described Mana as the first village of the country from the land of Chamoli.

"After losing the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress is now targeting Hinduism. Rahul Gandhi had described Hindus as violent in the Lok Sabha. Congress leaders did not go to the Ram Mandir Prana Pratishtha program so that Congress's favourite vote bank does not get angry with them. Congress has only done corruption in Uttarakhand. Everyone needs to be cautious of the Congress party," he said.

Voting for the assembly by-polls in the Badrinath and Manglaur seats will be held on July 10.

From Uttarakhand, Rajendra Singh Bhandari from Badrinath and Kartar Singh Bhadana from Manglaur have been fielded by the party.

The Badrinath seat fell vacant after Congress MLA Rajendra Bhandari resigned and joined the BJP. The Manglaur seat fell vacant after the death of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Sarwat Karim Ansari. (ANI)
