Health Minister of Karnataka Dinesh Gundurao called a meeting with officials on Thursday to review measures for dengue prevention.

Meanwhile, amid the rainy season, the Health Department of Karnataka issued an important order to prevent dengue fever in the state, which is common during this season.

According to the issued order, free treatment for dengue fever is available in government hospitals.

Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao had already instructed the health department officials to take action so that even private hospitals do not charge the price for dengue testing.

On the instructions of the Minister, the Health Department has issued an order for private hospitals, to fix the rates for dengue testing.

A total of Rs 600 will be charged for two types of testing. The price for each test will be Rs 300, each for NS1 and Igm testing. Private hospitals and lab rotaries cannot charge more than Rs 600 for dengue testing.

Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao had held this meeting with District Collectors and CEOs through video conferencing and given instructions about the precautionary measures to control dengue.

All District Collectors, Zilla Panchayat CEOs, and Urban Local Bodies need to pay more attention to the measures to destroy the larvae of the Dengue Aedes mosquito. (ANI)
