The Directorate of Enforcement has moved the Delhi High Court against the order of trial court granting bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Excise policy money laundering case.

ED urged Delhi HC to stay trial court order granting bail to Kejriwal.

Delhi High Court agreed to take up the ED plea seeking urgent hearing on its appeal challenging trial court order granting bail to Kejriwal.

The High Court said the file related to case will come before the bench in 10-15 minutes.

On Thursday, the Rouse Avenue Court granted regular bail to Kejriwal in the money laundering case despite Enforcement Directorate opposing the bail application.

Vacation judge Nyay Bindu of Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court granted the bail upon furnishing a bail bond of Rs 1 lakh.

Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 this year.

On May 10, the Supreme Court granted him interim bail until June 1 to allow him to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections. (ANI)
