Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday expressed confidence in BJP's victory in the Dumka Lok Sabha seat, saying "We will win with a big margin.

"I arrived at Dumka Lok Sabha seat in Jharkhand. We campaigned in favour of the BJP. We will win from Dumka Lok Sabha seat with a big margin. Jharkhand will create a new record. The government of PM Modi will be formed once again," he said.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has nominated Sita Soren, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) founder Shibu Soren's daughter-in-law, as its candidate from the Dumka Lok Sabha constituency. She will be contesting against JMM leader and a six-time MLA Nalin Soren, in the upcoming election.

Sita Soren, a long-time member of JMM and a three-time Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), joined the BJP in March.

The Dumka Lok Sabha seat is a traditional JMM stronghold, with party patriarch Shibu Soren winning the seat 8 times.

In the final phase of the Lok Sabha election, polling will take place in Rajmahal, Dumka, and Godda Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand on June 1. The counting of votes will be held on June 4. (ANI)
