He added, "As soon as these videos came to our attention, an STF team was immediately formed to investigate. The STF investigation revealed that this video was made by a local youth of the Tehri district, he has been identified. The STF has registered a case and transferred it to the Tehri Police."

Meanwhile, the Uttarakhand Police also took to its official X handle and informed about the legal action being taken against the youth. It said, "Taking cognizance of the video circulating on social media of a youth misbehaving with some Digambara saints, a case has been registered against the said youth under Sections 153A, 295A IPC and 67A IT Act and further legal action is being taken."

Abhinav Kumar further said, "There is a lot of anger among the Jain community and they are quite hurt. I want to assure everyone that on the land of Devbhoomi (Uttarakhand), we welcome and respect the faith and belief of all religions... We will not tolerate this kind of behaviour." (ANI)
