Fire breaks out at several shanties in Yamuna Khadar slum cluster, no casualties

A fire broke out in several shanties in east Delhi's Yamuna Khadar slum cluster on Saturday morning, said officials.

However, no casualty has been reported.

The Delhi Fire Service Department received the call at 10:46 am.

According to the fire service department, as soon as the information was received a total of 7 fire units were rushed to the site and efforts are underway to douse the fire.

"A fire broke out in 11-12 Jhuggi's in the Yamuna Khadar area," said officials.

Further details are awaited and the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Earlier on May 24, a massive fire broke out at the Carnival Resort in Delhi's Alipur area, fire officials said. (ANI)
