With Himachal Pradesh gearing up for Lok Sabha polls in the seventh and last phase, the Congress has planned the campaign schedule of its star campaigners with party leader Rahul Gandhi slated to address rallies in Una and Nahan on May 26.

Apart from polling for four Lok Sabha seats on June 1, the state will also see voting on six assembly seats going for bypolls that will have a bearing on the future of the Congress government in the state.

Giving details, state Congress vice president Harikrishna Himral said party leaders will hold rallies in the state from May 26.

The list of star campaigners includes Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharur, Sachin Pilot, Rajiv Shukla, Venugopal, Anand Sharma apart from state Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will hold public meeting in Rohru. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi will hold rallies in Mandi, Shimla and Solan.

On the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the state, Himral said he is welcome to the state but the Centre showed "negative attitude" towards the state during the disaster caused by floods.

He said the Chief Minister has worked for the people of the state day and night. "People know who has worked for them," he said.

The sixth phase of Lok Sabha polls will be held on May 25. (ANI)
