Congress leader and INDIA bloc candidate from Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha seat, JP Agarwal on Thursday exuded confidence in the victory of the INDIA bloc from all seven seats in the national capital adding that the people are against the central government due to inflation, unemployment, and loss in businesses.

JP Agarwal held an election campaign in the Keshavpuram area. The national capital will go to polls on May 25 in the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking to ANI, Agarwal said, "During the elections, you go out and meet people. I have come here, regarding that. Big meetings and programs are over. This is an attempt to hold small gatherings and meet people individually."

Hitting out at the BJP-led central government, the Congress leader said, "People are against the central government due to inflation, unemployment, and loss in business. There are 100 more reasons but these three are related to 'Roti, Kapda, and Makan.' So people want a change and I can witness this in the elections. This is my 10th Lok Sabha polls and I can assume what is going to happen. In Delhi, INDIA Alliance will win all the seats."

JP Aggarwal, a veteran Congressman, is standing against Parveen Khandelwal of the BJP for the seat in the 2024 general elections.

The Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress are fighting the elections in alliance in the national capital, with the AAP contesting four and the Congress three seats.

The BJP has won the Chandni Chowk constituency in the last two Lok Sabha elections in 2014 and 2019, with former Union Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan representing the area for the past 10 years.

The first five phases of polling were held on April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, and May 20.

The next two rounds of voting will be held on May 25 and June 1.

The 2024 Lok Sabha elections are being held in seven phases, in a six-week marathon running from April 19 to June 1. The counting and results will be announced on June 4. (ANI)
