The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended four accused, including the manager (quality), two technical assistants (TA) of FCI and a private person, in a case related to the acceptance of a Rs 50,000 bribe from the complainant.
A case was registered on May 21, 2024, by CBI against Manager (Quality) and a Technical Assistant (TA) of FCI, Mullanpur Dhaka, Ludhiana (Punjab) on allegations that said accused Manager (Quality) and TA demanded a bribe of Rs. 1,05,000 per truck from the complainant in lieu of passing consignments of his rice mill. CBI laid a trap and caught the manager (quality), two technical assistants of FCI, and a private person during the trap proceedings related to the acceptance of a Rs. 50,000 bribe from the complainant. Searches were conducted at five locations on the residential and official premises of the accused, during which incriminating documents were recovered. More details on the matter are awaited.
