Himachal Pradesh Governor inaugurates five-day art exhibition at Shimla's Gaiety Theatre

Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Sunday inaugurated the five-day art exhibition organised by the Indian Arts Council at the historic Gaiety Theatre, Shimla.

"Artworks of 11 artists from different states of the country have been displayed in this exhibition," as per a press release from the Raj Bhavan.

"Dr Chandrashekhar Kale, Founder President of, the Indian Arts Council, welcomed the Governor," the release stated.

Praveen Pandit, the coordinator, presented Shukla the Governor's painting made by him. Prominent personalities were also present on the occasion.

While appreciating the work of artists, the Governor said that art is a universal language that transcends boundaries and connects us all. He added that it was a reflection of our thoughts, emotions, and the world around us.

"The paintings on display today are not just works of art, these are windows into the minds and hearts of the artists, each telling a unique story and evoking a range of emotions", said the Governor.

He appreciated the dedication, passion, and creativity of artists and said that it was truly commendable. While interacting with the artist, he said that each piece of art is a testament of hard work and their ability to capture the beauty and complexity of life on canvas.

"Your contributions are invaluable in enriching our cultural landscape and inspiring future generations of artists", said the Governor.

He said that the historic Gaiety Theatre of Shimla has emerged as a centre of excellence in the country for performing various works of art. (ANI)
