2 detained after speeding BMW rams into e-Rickshaw in Noida claiming 2 lives: Police

Police on Thursday detained two people travelling in the BMW car that rammed an E-rickshaw resulting in the death of two people and injuries to three in Noida.

ADCP Manish Mishra said that a speeding BMW car hit the E-rickshaw carrying five people. Two of the three accused have been detained, while the other one managed to escape.

Speaking with ANI, he said, "Today morning at around 6 am, an e-rickshaw was hit from behind by a BMW car under the police station Sector 24 area. 5 people were injured in the accident; two people have been declared dead. The condition of the other three is stable now. 2 people travelling in the BMW car have been detained. Our team has collected all the evidence present from the spot and strict action will be taken against the accused."

Earlier, this morning, around 6 am, a speeding car rammed into an e-rickshaw near Sumitra Hospital in Sector 24 of the Gautam Buddh Nagar district, resulting in the death of two people and leaving three others with critical injuries.

All the injured victims were immediately rushed to the hospital, where two persons were declared dead during the treatment, while three of them have been undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Noida Sector 110. (ANI)
