Two killed, three injured as car overturns in Delhi's Rohini

Two persons were killed and three others were injured after a car they were travelling in overturned in Rohini area of Delhi on Sunday, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Sanjay (23), and Ashutosh (22) - both residents of Kishan Vihar. Those injured in the accident have been identified as Sahil (20), Rashid (18), and Lokesh Singh (23), the trio are also residents of Kishan Vihar.

According to police, the incident took place at about 12:30 pm. A PCR call regarding the overturning of a car in Sector 22 of Rohini was received at Police Station Aman Vihar.

"Local police immediately reached the spot and found an Ertiga car in accidental condition at the place of the accident," officials said.

"All victims were taken to a hospital, where two of them were declared dead by doctors. Three others are under treatment. The body of the deceased has been preserved at the hospital for post-mortem examination," they added.

Initial enquiry revealed that the driver of the car lost control of the car leading to the overturning of the car.

A case under sections 279, 304-A of IPC has been registered and police were further looking into the accident. (ANI)
