A massive crowd gathered in Jharkhand's Chatra district to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally on Saturday.

From a helicopter, one could see a large group of people near the rally venue.Later, while addressing a public rally in Chatra, PM Modi said that the 'Shehzada' (referring to Rahul Gandhi) and his Congress party will receive fewer seats than his age.

"NDA not only will cross 400 but will also form govt in Delhi after winning majority seats in the states where Assembly elections are going on. The 'Shehzada' and his party will get even lesser seats than his age," he said.

Hitting out at the opposition parties and leaders, PM Modi said that the 2024 elections are not just to form the government but to save the country from thieves and robbers.

"The 2024 election is not just an election to form a government. This election is an election to build the country. The purpose of this election is to save the country from thieves and robbers. This election is a choice to secure the future of your children," he said.

Referring to the Jharkhand cash haul, the Prime Minister said, "You saw how mountains of notes were found from JMM and Congress camps. Even machines had to be brought from banks to count the notes."

"JMM and Congress have only one agenda: neither will they work nor will they let others work and there will be no work without money. This is their game. They themselves do nothing except indulging in corruption and are busy stopping the work done by Modi," he added.

Accusing the Jharkhand government of being involved in opium cultivation, PM Modi said that the state government wants to push the people into addiction.

"The INDI Alliance is not concerned about your livelihood. They only have to look after their own interests. JMM and Congress have set up only one industry in Jharkhand: the opium industry. This black business is running under the protection of the government. They want to push your children into the quagmire of addiction," he said.

The voting process in Jharkhand will unfold in four phases, from May 13 to June 1.

The elections for 543 Lok Sabha seats are being held from April 19 to June 1, with the counting of votes scheduled for June 4. (ANI)
