Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the support of the people, as huge crowd was cheering for him in the Bopur city of Birbhum, West Bengal, where he had addressed a rally on Friday.

In 2014, TMC won 34 seats in the state, while the BJP won 2 seats. But, BJP registered a strong improvement in the 2019 polls by winning 18 seats against the TMC's 22. This time, BJP is campaigning with full might aiming to make further inroads in the state, while the TMC is fighting to maintain its hold and increase its tally than the last time. (ANI)
