Telangana: BJP candidate Raghunandan Rao holds nomination rally in Medak

The nomination rally of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Raghunandan Rao, contesting for the Medak Lok Sabha constituency, garnered significant attention as it unfolded in Medak on Thursday.

Accompanied by Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Union Minister Kishan Reddy, Raghunandan Rao led the event, marking a significant moment in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections.

"Our candidate advocate Raghunandan is winning from here. BRS and Congress candidates are corrupt. With Modi ji's blessings, we are winning this seat by many votes," said Sawant.

Earlier today, Raghunandan Rao filed his nomination as BJP candidate from Medak constituency for the Lok Sabha elections.

The rally witnessed a sizable turnout, with a multitude of individuals joining in the procession, extending warm greetings to the dignitaries present.

Medak Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state of Telangana.

Notably, the 2024 Lok Sabha poll in Telangana's 17 seats will be contested in a single phase on May 13 with results declared by June 4.

In the previous 2019 general election, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) won 9 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured 4 seats. The Indian National Congress (INC) obtained 3 seats. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) won 1 seat.

The general election for 543 Lok Sabha seats will be held in seven phases starting April 19, with counting to be held on June 4. (ANI)
