"The BJP has insulted women by stopping Rs 1500 of Indira Gandhi Pyari Brahmin Sukh Samman Nidhi. BJP only pretends to be women-friendly. BJP does nothing for women except take votes in elections," Negi said. Negi and Pathania said that if the ban imposed by the BJP through the Election Commission on giving Rs 1500 to women is not removed, then in June the government will give three months' amount to the eligible women in one go. This has exposed the double face of the BJP and Jairam Thakur in front of the public. He said that women are ready to teach a tough lesson to the BJP in the elections. It is noteworthy that the 2024 Indian general election in Uttarakhand will be held on April 19 during the first phase to elect the 5 members of the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha.
