"It is an election to make Narendra Modi Prime Minister for the third time," says CM Dhami

Lauding the country's rapid progress under PM Modi's leadership, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday urged people to make BJP win in every Lok Sabha seat in Uttarakhand by more than 5 lakh votes.

Uttarakhand will go to vote in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections on April 19. Voting in Uttarakhand will be held for five Lok Sabha seats. In 2019 Lok Sabha polls, BJP won all five seats taking the poll per cent to 61.7.

Dhami on Sunday participated in a public meeting organised in favour of the BJP candidate from Tehri Lok Sabha seat, Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah, in Main Bazar Chamba, Tehri.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid tribute to Shridev Suman and Victoria Cross winner V.C. Gabar Singh by garlanding their statues.

The Chief Minister said that this time the election is a historic one. "It is an election to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister for the third time. Everyone is going to form Modi ji's government in the country. Today the discussion is on the BJP's 400+ seats. We have to make every Lok Sabha in Uttarakhand victorious by more than 5 lakh votes. He said that by voting for the lotus on April 19, Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah ji has to be made victorious again with a huge number of votes," he said.

The Chief Minister said that the country is moving forward rapidly under the leadership of the Prime Minister and the country is setting new records of progress.

"Work is going on on many schemes to benefit women, youth, farmers and the poor. Many schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, and Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana have worked to change the lives of every person. Earlier schemes were made keeping in mind the people of a particular class. But today's schemes are made on the principle of Antyodaya," he added further.

The Chief Minister said that the work culture has changed since 2014, under the leadership of the Prime Minister. Every person is now engaged in the upliftment of the country. Every moment of the Prime Minister is dedicated to the Indians. In the last 10 years, 25 crore people in the country have come out of the poverty line.

He said that, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Section 370 has been removed from Jammu and Kashmir. Triple Talaq has been removed. As promised, the Citizenship Amendment Act has been implemented.

He hailed the Indian Army, saying, "Giving a befitting reply to the enemies of the country, the army carried out a surgical strike. The soldiers are getting good clothes and weapons. After a long wait, a grand temple of Lord Ram has been built. Work is underway to build a guest house for the people of Uttarakhand in Ayodhya. Uttarakhand is a brave land and the soldiers here have sacrificed their lives to protect the country."

The Chief Minister said that the God-like people of the state had formed the BJP government in the state by making the BJP win the assembly elections again. He said the state government has passed the Uniform Civil Code Bill as per its promise. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the state government has implemented many strict laws in the interest of Uttarakhand.

"Anti-cheating law has been implemented to stop continuous cheating in examinations. Today talented youth are being selected in several examinations at the same time. Appointments equivalent to 22 years have been made in the last 2 years. An anti-riot law has been brought in. Women have been given a 30 percent horizontal reservation in government jobs. The Chief Minister's Empowered Sister Scheme has been started, and a platform is being prepared to sell the products made by women," he added. (ANI)
