Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Jamui, Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, said on Saturday that PM Modi should have at least told what he has done for the development of Jamui.

Speaking to reporters, he said that he, along with several party leaders, are going to present their views to the people.

"We are going to Jamui and will present our views among the people. When PM Modi went to Jamui, he did not talk about 'Parivarvad' because everywhere in Bihar, their own candidates are from some political family...The Prime Minister should have at least told what he has done for the development of Jamui", Tejashwi Yadav said.

He further said that the party is going to win all four seats in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections.

Earlier on April 4, PM Modi visited Jamui and hailed the governance of the BJP-led NDA at the Centre over the last 10 years under his leadership.

Addressing a campaign rally in Jamui on Thursday, PM Modi said, "Echoes in favour of the BJP and the NDA are not only renting the air across Bihar but also sounding in the far corners of the country. What happened in the last 10 years is just a trailer, as there's plenty more still to be done. We all have to come together to take the country forward."

Ripping into the Opposition bloc--INDIA, he said back in the day when the partners in the 'Ghamandia' alliance were in power at the Centre, "the trains that plied on our tracks were rickety at best. Now, the people of Bihar are travelling in the Vande Bharat".

"Those who gobbled up land in the name of giving jobs to the poor in the Railways can never do any good for the people of Bihar," PM Modi said, in a scathing takedown of the Opposition bloc.

The ruling National Democratic Alliance has reached a seat-sharing agreement in Bihar for the Lok Sabha polls with the BJP set to contest 17 seats and JD-U 16.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA, comprising the BJP, JD (U), and LJP, dominated the 2019 elections by winning 39 out of 40 seats.

In the first phase, voting is to be held in 4 seats of Bihar on April 19. Those 4 Lok Sabha seats are Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada and Jamui

Bihar will see polling in seven phases. The first phase of polling will be held on April 19, the second phase on April 26, the third phase on May 7, the fourth phase on May 13, the fifth phase on May 20, the sixth phase on May 25, and the seventh phase on June 1.

The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 will be held in seven phases, starting on April 19. Counting of votes on June 4. (ANI)
