BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla lashed out at the INDI alliance on Sunday, pointing out that there is another "jhatka" and "kalesh" in the alliance after Trinamool Congress announced to field its candidates from all 42 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal.

"Mamata Banerjee has unilaterally declared the seats and now Congress is looking here and there," he added.

He further took a dig at Rahul Gandhi, saying that wherever he has gone, the INDI alliance has taken its last breath. "Only confusion, contradiction, commission, corruption and ambition. There is no mission or vision in the alliance," he added.

Shehzad Poonawalla slammed, "In Kerala, they declared another candidate for Waynad. They asked Rahul Gandhi to leave. In Maharashtra, Sanjay Raut said Congress is zero-party. In Punjab, Bhagwant Mann says ek thi congress despite having an alliance in Delhi. In Bengal, the alliance is over. In Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, alliance parties have left Congress."

Speaking on the INDI bloc's position in West Bengal, the BJP leader said that Mamata Banerjee, who first said to the Congress to take two seats or else carry on as Congress won't get even 40 Lok Sabha seats across the country.

"This is the state of their alliance. There is no confidence in the INDI alliance; there is no confidence in Rahul Gandhi," he added.

Further taking a dig at the Congress Party over the Sandeshkhali incident, Shehzad Poonawala said that the Congress Party tried to keep a strategic silence on Sandeshkhali. Priyanka Vadra and Rahul Gandhi said nothing about Sheikh Shahjahan, and Mallikarjun Kharge defended it.

"Despite the fact that the Congress party maintained silence on Sandeshkhali, Mamata Banerjee acted this way. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, at least break the silence now. Say something about Shahjahan. Please say something about the horrors Hindu women had to face," he concluded. (ANI)
